Wow, such a cool place! A local distillery that produces tons of varieties of award winning Gin. We stopped in for some cocktails and was convinced by our server to purchase a few bottles to take home with us. The Gin Wild was delicious and their house gin is also very tasty. Great place to stop by for a cocktail or grab a bottle and some recipe ideas for home.

Very informative and fun! Our tour guide Graham (the President) was knowledgeable and has a strong passion for distilling fine sprits. We left educated and with big smiles on our faces .

I can’t say enough good things about these guys. This year they produced “Boston Tree Gin” with harvested boughs from this year's Tree for Boston to create a “thank you” gin. Distilled with wheat grown in the County of Annapolis and infused with local botanicals and spruce boughs, this gin celebrates the heart of NovaScotia. One dollar from every bottle sold will be donated to the CNIB Foundation.

Didn’t know we had this gem in Halifax. Was just passing and decided to check it out with my friends. Bar was awesome, drinks tasted really good and the bartender was really good. Will definitely go back.

Still my favorite place for a cocktail on the peninsula. The intimate setting can be a little distracting when it's not busy but when it's full it really feels great. Definitely include it on your list when you're on Agricola.

Top Bar Halifax *****Walking into Compass, you will notice a couple patio tables outside along a unsuspecting building north Halifax. The inside is nothing short of fine dining restaurant vibes with a touch of local maritime charm. Stacked the books mixed with the spirits along walls, it is truly awe inspiring atmosphere. The aquavit cocktail with dill, sherry and house made cucumber bitters is remarkable. Service was homely and professional on par with gold standard service. If you enjoy craft cocktails steeped in creativity and history this place is for you.
