Bed was ok, clean, quiet. Staff was kind. The bathroom is definitely the weak spot: crammed, water from showers run to toilet stalls, you'll get your feet wet. Shower stalls are tiny with no dry space to change.

Front desk service is very nice and polite. This place is basically a hostel. The metal ladder to the top bunks is a bit cramped and I would recommend older or larger folks book the lower beds instead. I scrapped some skin off my knee trying to climb up the first few times!I would say the place is generally pretty clean and I’ve bumped in to cleaning staff multiple times during my stay. There are only 3 sets of urinals, sinks, toilets and showers in the men’s room. I believe the place accommodates around 70 guests for both men and women, so plan accordingly around checkout time.I have no idea how other guys can use the shower stalls because the plastic mat thing was unbearably piercing the bottom of my feet after a few minutes - it was so bad I bought some rubber slippers at the mall close by to only use in the shower.YMMV depending on who stays next to you. One guest staying close to my pod kept moaning and loudly sighing constantly for some reason, and then went straight in to snoring and farting loudly through the night. Another guest checked in during the night and I couldn’t sleep because he decided to have a loud conversation with another guest using Siri as their interpreter because they didn’t speak a common language. Do not expect other guests to be reasonable or much enforcement from the staff. There is no locked door or anything to your pod, it’s just a curtain. You get 3 lockers - one for your shoes, near the front entrance, another in the same hallway close by, and the last one right beneath your pod (you will have to climb down each time if you chose top bunk.)All in all, I think the location was pretty worth it for a solo stay where you just crash there at the end of the day - it’s very close to the train. Just know that this is basically a hostel, so privacy is extremely limited. The dumpsters outside did not stink as much as the other reviews said, but maybe they were recently emptied during my stay.

This has been a super handy place to stay. It is nothing fancy or luxurious, but you will get a chance to chat with others and learn something new.I found it very clean and well kept. This is also an adult only place, that has its upsides and down sides. If I need a place to stay again I will most definitely come back here. And to the staff thanks for all the help though a rather stressful few days, it was more helpful than you know.

Love the place!!..stayed there a week and the staff was fabulous!!..very attentive and made me feel very welcomed..Very clean and well maintained.. The pods are a good size, comfortable with wi-fi. I just wish the longer I kept adding another night (I was only planning on staying 2 nights), I would have received a better rate. Even if you need a night to get away from the rat race, this would be the place.

Came to here to sleep one night after my travel plans were delayed. Basically: if you just need somewhere cheap and easy to stay overnight, you can consider this as a good option.Pro-- near by the Skytrain at Richmond. Also it's close to the airport- it is cheap for Vancouver. (but still feels expensive compared to other cities). If you just need a place to sleep, then fine.- the bathrooms are somewhat clean. The staff tries to clean often, but there are just so many people sharing the same bathroom, so it is not easy to keep it spotless. The building itself seems like it has cheaper building materials? E.g. the tiles in the bathroom were stained, there were some cracks near the windows.- there are kitchen facilities on site and lockers. Although the lockers are kind of small.- slippers indoors, makes the place feel a bit cleaner at least.Cons-- the capsule hotel experience leaves a lot to be desired here. First, the place doesn't feel too secure. There is not really keycard secured rooms or anything like that. Even the front desk is not staffed 100% (sometimes the staff go into a back room). This is a bit concerning during night time.- it is kind of loud in the rooms. It is not really a true capsule hotel, and there is not really soundproofing. Some people are quite inconsiderate and making loud noises at night.

Budget friendly. Atmosphere is pretty good. You got to walk through smelly dumpsters to get inside. There's absolutely no soundproofing in the pods, ear plugs are a must. My pod would shake/vibrate from people walking around, closing doors, or climbing into other pods. The bedding was very nice and comfortable. There was no where to lay out your suitcase and gather your things for the night, and I found the shower stalls to be pretty dirty. I would have felt more comfortable if there were seperate dorms for men and women. Overall not bad if you don't want to spend a fortune on a place to sleep.

I had to book a last minute stay here after missing my flight. Irene was at the front desk and she was an absolute joy! She gave me a tour and even woke me up at the desired time I requested in order for me to catch my next flight, and made me a cup of coffee. I would 100% recommend Panda Pod Hotel.

I stayed here June 17th and June 22nd. There was enough space for me with my carry-on luggage. It looked like they had an additional storage room for larger suitcases or items. The bed was uncomfortable and I would have preferred if they had invested in a thicker and more comfortable mattress than a mattress pad. The pods themselves don't actually have a door, just a curtain which felt not very secure, and I was afraid to leave any belongings in my bunk while I brushed my teeth or went to the washroom. The toilets were clean. I did shower on one of the mornings before I left and the showers were very small, slightly grimy, water was not getting warm, and there was not enough space to get changed in the stall.Quiet hours were between 10PM and 10AM. Other guests would check in throughout the night and get an orientation from the staff member working, which would be disruptive. As other guests have said, ear plugs are a must.Overall this is a good option if you have an overnight layover and don't want to spend hundreds of dollars.

Buyer beware! Only 220lb weight limit per pod.My wife and I booked these pods not knowing this and it was never mentioned in any part of the booking process. Only much later after we booked did we discover it. Thankfully we did discover it deep in their documentation when looking for luggage quantities. This made finding new accommodations panic inducing and much more expensive than had we booked elsewhere to begin with. They basically wasted our time and money for no good reason. I gave 2 stars because at least cancelling was somewhat painless. This was only because we were outside of the window of time though, I think I recall they require cancellations be at least 48 hours before check in which it was only a few hours more than that.Would never consider going there again as this brings into question their overall authenticity. It would be different if the weight limit were way outside of normal parameters like say 350lbs or something but 220lbs? Give me a break.
